Rubber Compensator with SAE Flanges for Hydraulics

Rubber compensators, made of elastic rubber, absorb movement and vibration, protect pipes and valves from damage, and dampen sound and reduce the risk of leakage. In addition to compensators with European standard flanges, we can also offer versions with SAE flanges.

SAE flanges are standardized flange connections for hydraulics used in both industrial and mobile hydraulic systems. They are based on standards from the Society of Automotive Engineers and are commonly used in pressure classes such as SAE 3000 psi and SAE 6000 psi. The SAE flanges we offer are made of aluminum, a popular choice due to its low weight, good corrosion resistance and sufficient strength for many hydraulic applications. They are often used in construction machinery, agricultural machinery and other mobile systems where reliable hydraulics and easy assembly are important.

With standardized dimensions, SAE flanges provide high compatibility, safe operation, and easy servicing.

When aluminium is not in use

  • High temperature
  • High-pressure systems, e.g. SAE 6000 psi
  • Systems with high pressure pulses or fatigue loads

In this case, carbon steel or stainless steel is used instead. SAE flanges can in principle be used up to 6000 psi, but since ours are supplied in aluminum, we do not recommend them for this pressure class. If aluminium does not work in your operating conditions, we can offer compensators in other designs and materials.

Other compensators

Rubber Compensators

Features a vulcanized rubber bellows reinforced with textile cord and flanges with relieving collars. Suitable for both simple and demanding applications to pick up axial, radial, angled and lateral movements, as well as dampen vibrations and sounds. Works for pressure and vacuum in aggressive and neutral liquids and gases. They are flexible, vibration-damping and good for wide areas of use where you want high elasticity and sound reduction. Read more about our Rubber Compensators here.

Steel compensators

Features a stainless steel bellows and carbon steel welding ends. Designed to absorb axial movements in particular and reduce stresses in piping systems. Suitable at high temperatures for both liquids and gases. They withstand high temperatures and pressures best, but have less flexibility compared to rubber and PTFE. Read more about our Steel Compensators here.

PTFE Compensators

Features PTFE lining reinforced with synthetic cords and rotary flanges. Intended to compensate for different types of piping forces and dampen vibrations, especially in systems with highly aggressive chemicals. They have superior chemical resistance, the best choice for acids, alkalis, and corrosive media. Read more about our PTFE compensators here.

We offer Rubber Compensator AL 84-SAE with SAE flanges, read more here.
